Fatal hit-and-run crash claims pedestrian in east valley

A tragic incident occurred in the east valley of Las Vegas on Saturday night, resulting in the death of a woman due to two hit-and-run collisions. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that the first collision happened when a pedestrian crossed North Nellis Boulevard outside of a marked crosswalk and was struck by a car. Subsequently, another car hit the same pedestrian as she was lying on the ground. Both drivers fled the scene. Medical teams arrived but unfortunately determined the woman was beyond saving. Authorities are now seeking the public's assistance in locating the individuals involved in the hit-and-run. Descriptions state that the first driver operated a light-colored sedan with possible front-end damage, while the second driver was in a light-colored hatchback accompanied by two female occupants. These individuals parked at a nearby business before walking back to the scene and fleeing. Anyone with tips is encouraged to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department or Crime Stoppers. A cash reward may be available for information leading to an arrest or indictment. The investigation is ongoing.
