Fatal head-on crash on Route 13 leaves 1 dead, 9 wounded: VSP
A tragic incident occurred in Accomack County, Virginia, when a Toyota Sienna minivan and a Subaru Impreza collided head-on, resulting in one fatality and at least nine injuries. The crash took place on Route 13 near Parks Road on Monday afternoon. The Subaru traveling southbound crossed the median and struck the Toyota traveling northbound. One of the passengers in the Toyota, Gina Alvarez Dela Cruz, aged 42, sustained serious injuries and later passed away at a nearby hospital. The minivan's driver, Leobert Samon Dela Cruz, aged 43, along with six other occupants, were injured in the collision. The Subaru driver was also hospitalized for their injuries, with three individuals airlifted to medical centers. Virginia State Police have closed all lanes on Route 13 to investigate the accident.
