Fatal head-on crash in Greenville County involving a motorcyclist
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner's Office are looking into a collision that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred at 612 Groce Meadow Road in Taylors and involved a truck and a motorcycle. According to the coroner, the motorcyclist, identified as 43-year-old Jonathan Michael Rice of Taylors, was traveling south on Groce Meadow Road when he crossed the center line and collided with an oncoming vehicle at 5:57 p.m. Despite efforts to revive him, the motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene by first responders.
