Fatal head-on crash in Delaware County
A fatal head-on collision occurred on State Route 750 in Orange Township, Delaware County near Highbanks Metro Park, resulting in the death of a 56-year-old Worthington man named Abdimalik Hirad. The crash involved a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado and a 2014 Nissan Altima, where the driver of the Silverado veered into oncoming traffic and struck the Nissan. Abdimalik Hirad, the Nissan driver, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol with assistance from the Delaware County Sheriff's Office, Delaware County EMS, and Orange Township Fire and EMS.
