Fatal head-on crash in Central Broward County, sheriff's office reports
A fatal head-on collision occurred in Central Broward County, resulting in the death of a 45-year-old man named David Ramsden from Plantation. Another individual, 43-year-old Steven Bell from Fort Lauderdale, was injured in the crash. The Broward County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident, which took place on Wednesday night near 4600 Peters Rd. in Plantation. Ramsden was driving a Honda Accord at a high speed and failed to notice a construction zone and concrete median, colliding with Bell's Dodge Ram 2500 parked in a shared left-turn lane. Ramsden succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, while Bell was treated at the scene. The authorities are looking into factors like excessive speed and driver impairment as possible causes of the crash.
