Fatal head-on crash in California City: CHP
A fatal head-on collision occurred on California City Boulevard Sunday evening, resulting in the death of one man and leaving a woman injured. The California Highway Patrol Mojave Area responded to the crash scene near Joshua Boulevard around 8:48 p.m. The man was driving a BMW southbound while the woman was driving a Kia northbound. The Kia crossed over into the southbound lanes, leading to the collision. The man in the BMW was pronounced dead, and the woman in the Kia was hospitalized with serious injuries. Authorities do not suspect impairment as a contributing factor. Witnesses to the incident are encouraged to contact Officer Rivera at 661-823-5500.
