
Fatal head-on collision on I-15 in St. George leaves 3 dead
Three individuals tragically lost their lives in a car accident in southern Utah when a vehicle entered a highway going in the wrong direction. The collision occurred at around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday when a Cadillac sedan mistakenly entered the northbound lanes of Interstate 15 via Exit 5, traveling southbound. The elderly female driver of the Cadillac crashed into a Toyota Highlander head-on, resulting in her death. The two occupants of the Highlander, a man and a woman in their 70s, were also killed in the crash. Two young female passengers in the back seat of the Highlander were airlifted to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The northbound lanes of I-15 remained closed as of about 8:20 p.m. after the incident.
