Fatal head-on collision on Grand Parkway, 3 dead and 1 child injured, according to authorities
Three family members have passed away, and a child is receiving treatment in a hospital following a tragic incident on Grand Parkway, as disclosed by Fort Bend County officials. Upon responding to a collision around 2 a.m. on Saturday near FM 1464, authorities found that a family of four traveling north on the highway was hit by a driver heading south in the northbound lanes. Sadly, a woman and a girl lost their lives at the scene, with a man succumbing to injuries at a nearby hospital. A three-year-old occupant and the wrong-way driver were also taken to hospitals for treatment, with authorities sharing that the child is anticipated to recover. The crash site was reportedly clear by 11 a.m., and the individuals involved have not been publicly identified yet. The family was reportedly from Harris County, and the suspect is reported to be a 28-year-old individual. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
