A tragic head-on collision in Milton claimed the lives of three individuals this past Saturday, occurring on Randolph Avenue and Hillside Street just before 4:30 p.m. According to authorities, the crash involved a northbound Mercedes-Benz striking a Toyota traveling in the opposite direction, with debris from the impact also hitting a third vehicle. The Norfolk District Attorney's Office has identified the deceased as Diane Myers and her son Jonathan Myers, residents of Dorchester, who were the driver and passenger of the Toyota. The driver of the Mercedes, Charles Ocitti from Mattapan, succumbed to his injuries at a Boston hospital the following day. The community has long regarded this particular area as hazardous, with residents expressing concerns about its safety. One resident, Diane Ditulio Agostino, shared that she has advocated for improvements to Randolph Avenue for decades in order to prevent future tragedies. Agostino emphasized the urgency of addressing the road's dangers to avoid further loss of life.
