Fatal head-on collision in Taunton claims life of toddler
A tragic incident occurred in Taunton, Massachusetts, where a young girl, almost two years old, lost her life in a severe head-on collision on Broadway, also known as Route 138. The Bristol County District Attorney, Thomas Quinn, disclosed the news of the girl's death the following morning after the crash, which took place at approximately 7:10 p.m. Multiple emergency calls were made reporting the incident, involving a white Chevy van and a blue Toyota RAV4 SUV. Authorities discovered the van in the correct position in the northbound lane upon arrival. The RAV4 collided with the van, causing significant damage to both vehicles. Four adult men in the van remained unharmed, while the 25-year-old female driver of the RAV4 was transported to Rhode Island Hospital in stable condition. Tragically, the young girl in the RAV4 lost her life, and another 5-year-old girl was taken to an out-of-state trauma center in stable condition. The investigation, led by Massachusetts State Police, the Bristol County DA's office, and the Taunton Police Department, is ongoing, with no additional specifics available at this time.
