Fatal head-on collision in San Jose neighborhood
An investigation has been launched following a tragic collision in a San Jose neighborhood over the weekend, resulting in the death of a woman in one of the vehicles. According to authorities, the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon when a white 2018 GMC Denali attempted to pass another vehicle on Foxworthy Avenue. The Denali struck a blue Honda CRV head-on after colliding with a Subaru. Sadly, the woman driving the Honda, identified as Ellen Orcut, lost her life in the crash. Video footage captured the intensity of the collision and a neighbor expressed concern over the frequency of accidents in the area. The driver of the GMC sustained critical injuries and is being treated at a nearby hospital. The driver of the Subaru was unharmed. The San Jose Police Department is urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
