Fatal head-on collision in Rock County kills 26-year-old Winnebago resident
A tragic incident occurred in Avon, Wisconsin, where a 26-year-old man from Winnebago lost his life in a head-on collision in Rock County on Sunday night. The Rock County Sheriff's Office reported that the collision occurred at 10:49 p.m. on W Hy 81, just east of S Cty Tk T. A Ford F350, driven by a 30-year-old man from Marion, Iowa, was heading westbound on W Hy 81 when it veered across the center line into the opposite lane, crashing into a Nissan Sentra. Despite efforts to avoid the collision, the Ford driver was unable to avert the crash. Tragically, the Nissan driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the Ford's occupants were hospitalized with serious injuries. The victim's identity remains undisclosed until family notification, and authorities have not yet filed charges as the investigation continues.
