Fatal head-on collision in Prince George's County
Maryland State Police reported that two individuals tragically lost their lives in an early Sunday morning head-on collision in Prince George's County. Troopers responded to the incident around 3:17 a.m. on Maryland Route 4 at Woodyard Road in the Westphalia area, where two SUVs collided head-on. The driver, Nana Arthur, 40, from Upper Marlboro, was traveling in the wrong direction in the northbound lanes and collided with another SUV driven by Tameka Patterson, 46, from Suitland. Both Arthur and Patterson were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities suspect that impairment may have played a role in the accident, and investigations are ongoing.
