Fatal head-on collision in Montgomery County
The Maryland State Police are currently looking into a collision involving two vehicles that resulted in the deaths of two individuals early on Saturday in Montgomery County. Responding to the incident on Interstate 270 at Germantown Road, authorities reported that a Chevy Cruz driven by Jeremy De La Torre, 33, was heading in the wrong direction (southbound in the northbound lanes) and collided with a Honda Accord. Unfortunately, both the driver of the Accord, Ashley Salazar, 25, and De La Torre were pronounced dead at the scene. As a result of the crash, all northbound lanes of I-270 are currently closed for investigation. The details of the incident are actively being looked into by law enforcement.
