Fatal head-on collision in Lysander
In Lysander, New York, a tragic car accident occurred on Monday, March 31st, resulting in the death of a 28-year-old man. The incident, which took place at 8:19 a.m. on Oswego Road, involved a Chevrolet Express cargo van colliding head-on with a Jeep SUV. The driver of the cargo van, identified as Michael Simons-Iocona of Williamstown, N.Y., succumbed to his injuries at Upstate Medical Center. The driver of the Jeep and a 3-year-old passenger were also hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. The New York State Police are investigating the crash, and no citations have been issued at this time.
