Fatal head-on collision in Broomfield on Thursday afternoon
A tragic incident occurred in Broomfield, Colorado, as a man lost his life in a head-on collision on southbound Highway 287. The Broomfield Police Department announced the news on Friday, following the closure of the southbound lanes from Miramonte Boulevard to W. Dillon Road due to a severe crash involving two vehicles on Thursday afternoon. Authorities mentioned that two individuals were taken to the hospital, and one northbound lane was shut down temporarily. The road became accessible again at 8 p.m. that day, but unfortunately, a 41-year-old man succumbed to his injuries from the accident. The police are conducting an investigation, and no further information is available at this time. There was another fatal crash earlier in the week, on northbound Highway 287 at Dillon Road, where a driver who ran a red light caused the tragedy.
