Fatal head-on collision in Amador County due to driver crossing into wrong lanes, CHP reports
A fatal collision occurred on Monday evening in Amador County, California, when two pickup trucks crashed head-on along Highway 88. The incident, which took place close to Aqueduct Grove Road just after 7 p.m., involved a woman traveling westbound who veered into eastbound lanes, resulting in the collision. Both drivers required extraction from their vehicles, with one man tragically losing his life at the scene and the woman sustaining serious injuries and being hospitalized. The California Highway Patrol's Amador division is currently investigating the crash.
