Fatal head-on collision closes I-17 near 7th Ave in Phoenix
A fatal collision occurred on Interstate 17 in Phoenix during the early hours of Wednesday, resulting in the closure of a section of the highway. The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported that the incident, involving a truck and a sedan, occurred around 3:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes near 7th Avenue. Tragically, the driver traveling the wrong way was pronounced dead, while another driver sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized.
