Fatal head-on collision claims lives of married couple in Town of Brookfield
The Town of Brookfield police have identified the two individuals who tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision as a married couple, Eugene Magnuson, 91, and Grace Magnuson, 87. The incident occurred on Capitol Drive near Barker Road, with Eugene mistakenly entering the westbound lanes while trying to turn east from a driveway. Their vehicle collided with another car traveling in the opposite direction, resulting in the couple's fatal injuries. The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital. The crash led to the closure of Capitol Drive in both directions for several hours. Adalynne Schrotenboer, who witnessed part of the accident while driving to work, described the chaotic scene she saw unfold. The investigation into the crash is currently ongoing.
