Fatal early morning collision on Parkway West
Tragically, a fatal accident occurred in the early hours near the Pittsburgh International Airport when a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction on the Parkway West collided head-on with another car. The crash, which took place just after 1 a.m. on Sunday, resulted in the death of a 26-year-old woman named Summer Cartrette from Aliquippa. The driver of the wrong-way vehicle was transported to Allegheny General Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The occupants of the other vehicle were also hospitalized for treatment of injuries, the severity of which has not been disclosed. The incident is currently under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police.
