Fatal e-bike accident in Holmes County.
A tragic incident occurred early Tuesday morning on State Route 39 in Walnut Creek Township, Ohio. A woman riding an e-bike, identified as 27-year-old Maria Kempf of Fresno, Ohio, lost her life in a collision with a GMC Denali. The crash took place just east of County Road 135 around 5:45 a.m. as Kempf was attempting to turn left into Walnut Creek Cheese’s driveway. Despite wearing a reflective vest and having a flashing light on her e-bike, the collision resulted in Kempf's unfortunate death. The Holmes County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident is still under investigation.
