Fatal dump truck rollover on Florida's Turnpike, claims life of Miami Lakes resident - FHP
A 64-year-old man tragically lost his life in a rollover accident on Florida's Turnpike in Davie yesterday afternoon, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol. Authorities shared that the individual, who was from Miami Lakes, was operating a dump truck southbound on the inside lane of the exit ramp from State Road 91 to I-595 when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck then crossed into the inside shoulder of the exit ramp, veered across two lanes, and collided with a barrier wall before overturning. The driver was partially thrown from the truck as he was not wearing a seatbelt, according to FHP. The exit ramps to I-595 from State Road 91 were shut down at 2:40 p.m. The incident remains under investigation.
