Fatal Deer-Related Accident in Rural Adams County
A man tragically passed away in Adams County, Indiana, after a woman hit a deer with her SUV early one morning. Emergency services responded to the scene following reports of a collision involving two vehicles and the deer. Unfortunately, James Genth from Decatur was found deceased in his pickup truck. The incident occurred when the woman was driving north on County Road 100 E and a deer suddenly entered the road. Genth, heading the opposite direction, was unable to avoid the deer, which was propelled by the impact of the woman's vehicle into Genth's windshield. The Adams County Coroner's Office is currently investigating the accident.
