
Fatal Dartmouth crash claims lives of two teenagers
Two teenagers tragically lost their lives in a car crash in Dartmouth early Saturday morning. Massachusetts State Police received multiple reports of a reckless driver speeding on I-195 west in Dartmouth around 1 a.m. Upon arriving at the scene near the Reed Road exit, troopers discovered a KIA sedan that had veered off the road and collided with the median. The two occupants of the vehicle, a teenage boy and girl from Fall River, were ejected from the car and found on the road. They were both pronounced dead at the scene. The KIA had been reported stolen from Fall River. The highway's westbound lanes were shut down at Exit 22 and traffic was rerouted onto Faunce Corner Road until the road reopened at 5:30 a.m. The incident was investigated by various departments, and inquiries are ongoing.
