Fatal crash shuts down I-30 in Grand Prairie
During rush hour on Friday morning, a fatal crash caused the closure of all westbound lanes of Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie at Cockrell Hill Road. Traffic specialist Chip Waggoner recommends avoiding the area as there is currently no estimated time for the main lanes to reopen. Motorists have been observed pulled over on the roadside due to the extensive traffic congestion. By 7:30 a.m., the average speed in the affected area had dropped to about 2 mph. The exact time for the lanes to be operational again remains uncertain, and there is no information available on the specifics of the crash.
