Fatal crash reported on MO 291 in Independence
Law enforcement in Independence, Missouri is currently looking into a fatal collision that occurred at the junction of Missouri 291 Highway and Gudgell Road. The incident involved three vehicles and took place on Friday at approximately 1:10 p.m. According to reports, a Nissan Pathfinder traveling southbound collided with a GMC Acadia, which was then pushed into a Honda Civic. Unfortunately, the Nissan driver was pronounced deceased around 2 p.m., with the exact cause of death pending determination. The drivers of the GMC and Honda Civic were hospitalized for their injuries, the severity of which has not been disclosed by the Independence Police Department. Investigation into the accident is ongoing.
