Fatal crash reported by troopers on busy Upstate highway.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is looking into a deadly crash that occurred in Pickens County, resulting in one person losing their life. The incident took place at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Thursday on Highway 123 close to Adger Road, around a mile south of Easley. Reports from the Highway Patrol indicate that a 2003 Ford pickup traveling north on Hwy 123 veered off the road, collided with an embankment, and then struck a tree. The identity of the victim has not been released by the Pickens County Coroner's Office.
