Fatal crash outside Lincoln shopping center involves SUV and tractor-trailer
A fatal collision occurred on Monday involving an SUV and a tractor-trailer near a shopping center in Lincoln, resulting in the death of one driver, confirmed by the authorities. The incident took place at the junction of Lincoln Boulevard and the entry to the Sterling Pointe shopping center just after 10 a.m. First responders had to perform extensive extrication to free the male SUV driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer, which was loaded, thankfully escaped uninjured. Police are currently investigating the cause of the crash, leading to the closure of northbound Lincoln Boulevard for an extended period. The identity of the deceased driver has not been disclosed yet.
