Fatal crash on U.S. Highway 2 in Lincoln County led to woman's death.
A fatal accident occurred on Friday, July 10, on a section of U.S. Highway 2 in Lincoln County, taking the life of a 70-year-old woman from Troy. According to the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP), the crash occurred near Troy just before 1:30 p.m. The woman, who was traveling eastbound, crossed into the westbound lane and collided with a pickup truck driven by a 36-year-old man from Bonners Ferry, Idaho. The woman, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
