Fatal crash on US 287 in Lafayette leads to man's death
A fatal accident occurred in Lafayette on Monday morning when a Nissan pickup truck, driven by a 52-year-old man, was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck at the intersection of U.S. Highway 287 and Dillon Road. The Nissan driver tragically died at the scene, while the Chevrolet driver, a 56-year-old man, sustained unknown injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. The crash investigation is ongoing, and although the highway has since reopened, intermittent lane closures may still happen throughout the day.
