
Fatal crash on SR-6 near Helper claims one life
A tragic incident occurred in Carbon County, Utah, when a woman lost her life in a collision with a semitruck on SR-6 during a rainy morning on Tuesday, August 26. The accident involved a white Toyota Sequoia traveling in the eastbound lane. The Toyota veered across the centerline, striking the oncoming semitruck near milepost 231. According to the Utah Department of Public Safety, the Toyota went off the road, crashing through a guardrail and rolling over an embankment. In the collision, the driver was thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. Despite the wet road conditions, there is no evidence indicating that the Toyota lost control before the tragic accident.
