Fatal crash on Sheldon Road, Elk Grove police say
At least one person was killed in a solo car crash Tuesday morning in Elk Grove, officials said. Emergency medical services were dispatched around 5:06 a.m. to Sheldon and Waterman roads. It was unclear what caused the crash.Waterman Road is closed in both directions between Elliot Springs and Sheldon Road while officers investigate, the Elk Grove Police Department said.While the roundabout at Sheldon and Waterman is open, police said, drivers should expect delays and seek alternative routes this time.
