Fatal crash on President George Bush Turnpike
A fatal accident occurred on Thursday when a sweeper truck crashed on President George Bush Turnpike. The crash happened around 12:10 p.m. in the westbound lanes near Plaza 8. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Isuzu Sweeper Truck lost control after a tire blew out, leading to a collision with a concrete barrier and the vehicle overturning. Tragically, the driver, identified as 46-year-old Tharnell Duncan from Dallas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The westbound lanes of the turnpike were closed for an extended period as authorities investigated the incident further.
