
Fatal crash on Oklahoma highway leaves 2 dead
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed that a tragic accident occurred on an Atoka County highway, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuring another on Friday morning. The incident involved 78-year-old Charles E. Eidem from Alexandria, Minnesota, who was driving a vehicle on U.S. 69 in Stringtown city limits. The vehicle crossed lanes and collided with a northbound tractor-trailer, causing the truck to overturn and the car to catch fire. Both Charles E. Eidem and passenger Carole Eidem, also 78 and from Alexandria, Minnesota, succumbed to their injuries at the crash site. The tractor-trailer driver was taken to a hospital in Plano, Texas, for treatment. Seat belts were worn by all individuals in the vehicles.
