
Fatal crash on New Jersey Turnpike in Salem County claims lives of 4 men, according to state police
A tragic multi-vehicle crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Carneys Point Township, Salem County, early Sunday morning resulted in the loss of four lives, including three 18-year-old individuals. The teens were identified as Aharon Lebovits, Shlomo Cohen, and Chaim Grossman from Lakewood, and Yaakov Kilberg from Lakewood as well. The crash occurred when a Mazda driven by Kilberg, carrying Lebovits and Cohen, collided head-on with a Dodge pickup truck driven by Christopher Neff from Westminster, Colorado. Subsequently, a tractor-trailer struck the car with the teens inside, leading to the tragic outcome. Kilberg, Grossman, Lebovits, and Cohen lost their lives in the crash. Neff sustained serious injuries, while the tractor-trailer driver was unharmed. The Carneys Point Fire Department and Rescue Squad commended the diligent efforts of the first responders in rescuing the victims, some of whom had to be extricated from the wreckage. They also noted that one of the vehicles involved caught fire after the collision.
