Fatal Crash on NC 18 in Wilkes Co.
A tragic accident took place on Tuesday in Wilkes County where a 64-year-old man lost his life. The incident occurred on NC 18 around 9 a.m. according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Roosevelt Carlton Jr. from North Wilkesboro was driving on NC 18 when his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane and crashed head-on with another car. The driver of the other vehicle sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Atrium Wake-Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem for treatment.
