Fatal crash on Matt Highway in Forsyth County
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office reported that a single-vehicle accident on Matt Highway on Saturday evening resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left one other injured. The crash occurred near Rose Creek Drive when a 2014 Ram 5500 truck, traveling east, failed to navigate a curve, veered off the road, and collided with a tree and fence. The driver, 36-year-old Jose Alvarado Macario, and two passengers in the back, identified as 24-year-old Abraham Vargas Vargas and 18-year-old Alberto Rios-Pintoja, died at the scene. The front passenger survived and was taken to a hospital for treatment. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Traffic Specialist Unit is currently investigating the accident to determine the cause.
