Fatal crash on Little Richmond Road near Trotwood
A fatal crash occurred near Trotwood in Dayton, Ohio, Wednesday morning resulting in the death of one individual. The incident took place when a Nissan Maxima traveling south on State Route 49 attempted to turn left onto Little Richmond Road around 9:15 a.m. A Hyundai Sonata traveling north on State Route 49 collided with the passenger side of the Maxima, causing both vehicles to veer off the road towards the northeast corner. The Maxima then struck a utility box and pole. The driver of the Nissan, identified as Natia Scroggins, 35, was pronounced dead after being transported to Miami Valley Hospital. The driver of the Hyundai sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment.
