Fatal crash on Katy Fwy. at Gessner Rd.
Authorities in Houston are currently looking into a deadly crash that occurred on Sunday night at the intersection of the Katy Freeway feeder road and Gessner Rd. The incident, which occurred around 11:50 p.m., involved a single male driver who was traveling westbound and collided with a pole due to failing to manage their speed. The impact resulted in the vehicle catching on fire, and despite the arrival of Houston Fire Department paramedics, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. No other individuals were reported to be involved, and at this time, the driver's identity remains undisclosed.
