Fatal crash on I-94 in Afton
A fatal crash occurred on Interstate 94 in the eastern Twin Cities on Monday afternoon, resulting in the death of one person. The incident, which occurred near Manning Avenue in Afton, Minnesota, involved a collision between a 1987 Chevrolet Corvette and a Toyota Corolla. The Corvette spun out, rolled into a ditch, and tragically, the passenger, an 83-year-old man from Downing, Wisconsin, passed away at Regions Hospital. The 76-year-old driver of the Corvette sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Corolla, a 30-year-old from North St. Paul, Minnesota, fortunately did not sustain any injuries. It is noted that all individuals involved were wearing seat belts, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
