Fatal Crash on I-88 in North Aurora
A collision on Interstate 88 in the western suburbs resulted in the loss of two lives on Saturday night. The Illinois State Police were called to the incident on I-88 near Mitchell Road in North Aurora at approximately 8:10 p.m. According to reports, two vehicles were part of the accident, and tragically, two individuals lost their lives at the scene. Following the crash, authorities closed two lanes of traffic for several hours to conduct investigations, but these lanes were reopened by 1:19 a.m. The circumstances leading to the crash were not immediately clear, and the identities of the victims have not been disclosed. The Illinois State Police are currently looking into the matter.
