A tragic incident occurred on Friday afternoon when a woman lost her life in a fatal accident involving her 18-wheeler on Interstate 85 North near Flat Shoals Road in South Fulton. The vehicle crashed and caught fire, prompting the emergency response team to rush to the scene around 1:30 p.m. Upon arrival, the truck was already in flames, and the female driver was found deceased. The fire and police departments spent several hours containing the fire and clearing debris before reopening two lanes on I-85 North.
