Fatal crash on I-787 in Albany causes two deaths
Two individuals have tragically lost their lives in a recent single-car crash on I-787 in Albany, as reported by the New York State Police. This incident marks the second fatal accident to occur on I-787 on Sunday. During investigations of another crash, authorities discovered a vehicle had veered off the road and down an embankment of I-787 southbound near Exit 5 at approximately 7 a.m. State Police confirmed that three individuals sustained severe injuries, with the passengers succumbing to their injuries at the scene, while the driver was transported to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries. Due to this incident, the Exit 6A off-ramps to I-787 southbound are temporarily closed in both directions. The road is anticipated to reopen by approximately 1:30 p.m.
