Fatal crash on I-75/85 in downtown Atlanta.
A fatal multi-vehicle collision caused the closure of Interstates 75 and 85 in both directions near 17th Street this morning. When Atlanta police arrived at the scene, they discovered a husband and wife in one of the vehicles. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, while his wife and another passenger were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The interstate remained closed for several hours as authorities conducted their investigation and eventually reopened early in the afternoon. The victims' names have not been released, and it is unclear if any charges will be pressed in connection with the incident.
