Fatal crash on I-75: 1 killed, 2 hurt in Miami County
In Dayton, Ohio, a tragic multi-vehicle accident on I-75 in Miami County early Sunday morning resulted in one fatality and two individuals being hospitalized. The collision occurred around midnight near milepost 66 in Monroe Township. The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Piqua Post reported that a 26-year-old driver from Moraine was driving a 2021 Ford southbound on I-75 and had slowed due to a previous crash in the area. Subsequently, a 28-year-old woman from Tipp City driving a 2009 Saturn struck the Ford from behind. The Ford overturned and veered off, and the Saturn came to a stop in the left lane. Another car, a 2021 Jeep, then collided with the stationary Saturn, prompting a separate investigation. Emergency responders transported the Ford and Jeep drivers to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the Saturn driver was sadly pronounced dead at the crash site.
