Fatal crash on I-675 leaves one dead and two injured

A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon when a three-vehicle collision on I-675 in Clark County resulted in the death of one woman and left two others in the hospital. The crash, which took place around 11:20 a.m. near Milepost 26 in Mad River Township, involved a red 2018 Toyota RAV4 driven by a 50-year-old woman from Fairborn. The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Springfield Post reported that the RAV4 lost control while transitioning from I-70 eastbound to I-675 southbound and was struck by a 2024 Nissan Rogue driven by a 37-year-old man from Springfield. Subsequently, the RAV4 veered into a ditch, while the Nissan Rogue continued and collided with a black 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by a 51-year-old woman from Springfield. The driver of the RAV4, identified as Sadaf Shaikh, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Miami Valley Hospital, but tragically, she passed away during transit. The two occupants of the Nissan Rogue, both 37-year-old men from Springfield, were taken to Soin Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Volkswagen Tiguan, the 51-year-old woman, was assessed at the scene and reported no injuries. The Ohio State Highway Patrol expressed gratitude to the various emergency response and assistance units who were involved in responding to the incident.
