Fatal crash on I-65 in Kentucky involving semi-truck results in Hendersonville man's death
A man from Hendersonville tragically lost his life in a collision involving a semi-truck on Interstate 65 in Kentucky. Kentucky State Police responded to the incident at mile marker 20.2 early Monday morning, where it was reported that the 49-year-old driver of a 2019 Toyota Highlander, identified as Johnathan Barnes, struck an object in the road, rendering the vehicle inoperable. Subsequently, a semi-truck also hit the object and collided with the Highlander. Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene. The condition of the 35-year-old semi-truck driver and any potential charges they may face are currently unknown. Various emergency response teams, including KSP, Warren County EMS, and the Warren County Sheriff's Office, provided assistance. Further details about the accident have not yet been disclosed.
