Fatal crash on I-35 near Temple - KWKT
A fatal traffic incident occurred on southbound Interstate 35 in Bell County near Exit #298. Temple Police responded to the scene around 3:38 p.m. where an individual was hit by an 18-wheeler while trying to cross the highway. Unfortunately, the person died at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler remained on-site, and there are no other reported injuries. Temple PD's Traffic Reconstruction Unit is investigating, resulting in the closure of this section of the highway for several hours, prompting travelers to find an alternative route.
