Fatal crash on highway in southeastern Kansas
Three individuals tragically lost their lives in a collision on Monday morning in Wilson County, near Neodesha. The incident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 400 and Granby Avenue, involving a semi-truck traveling north and a Hyundai Sonata traveling west. The driver of the Sonata, identified as Adam L. Brooks, along with passengers Kylie M. Brooks and Kohen D. Brooks, unfortunately did not survive the crash. The semi's driver, a 59-year-old from El Dorado, was unharmed. The Kansas Highway Patrol confirmed that the driver of the Sonata failed to stop at a stop sign, resulting in the collision. Regrettably, it was noted that the occupants of the Hyundai were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
