One individual lost their life following a collision between a Corvette and a diesel truck on Highway 50 in Sacramento, as reported by authorities. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, on the eastbound section of the freeway near Howe Avenue, within the Fix50 construction area. The specific circumstances leading to the collision are uncertain, but the Corvette was found partially wedged beneath the truck. Due to the crash, lanes remained closed throughout the late morning. The California Highway Patrol disclosed that the Corvette driver was transported to a nearby hospital, where they later passed away. By noon, all lanes had been reopened.
